Discovering & Investigating our local Amazonian Plants

Novalis Plant Database

IMG_20190116_114044.jpg

Welcome to our Plant Database. At Novalis, we are always in the process of investigation, research, documentation, as well as indigenous and scientific exploration of our immersive plant world. This page offers insight into some of the material we have produced as a result of that process, a digital work-in-progress into the exploration of Amazonian Plants and Medicine.

Presently, we are actively learning plant field identification, names and uses for the plants in indigenous contexts (ethnobotany), undertaking scientific research with sister organizations and published literature to check our sources, apprenticing with indigenous medicine keepers for preparations and application techniques for varying health and healing aspects, practicing and perfecting harvesting and preparations methods, and continuing to collaborate with other Peruvian and U.S. organizations in presenting our Novalis Medicine Products and education into the mainstream field.
