About our Retreat

Our intention for this program is to offer participants wishing to engage deeply and directly with shamanic practices, the opportunity to do so through immersive & experiential education. At Novalis, we have identified that there is a deep desire for westerners to make authentic connections to the world of Amazonian Shamanism. However, we have also identified, through our own learning, that access to such teachings require much more than showing up for the experience. We have learned, that to truly access AND integrate the profound teachings of these ancient practices into one´s life, that there is a process of bridging consciousness between the western person & the shamanic realms of the Amazon.

This is a collaborative program, much like a University with many teachers. Led by our team of indigenous unaya (Shipibo shaman), people of the local forest (our kichwa family & indigenous friends in surrounding communities), and our medicine team, we strive to offer a holistic approach that is accessible to the western person.
